The Democracy Decree

Democratism promotes the Democracy Decree as a way to change the U.S. election system so that the people choose who runs our government. The Democracy Decree begins as local legislation that can be adopted by any democratically representative body within the US, such as the legislature of your city, county, or state. When adopted by enough local jurisdictions, it will trigger a vote of the American people on whether to end the Electoral College and create fair representation in Congress.

If ratified by the people, it will put the people in charge of choosing our leaders.
